Postwick
1 | Get the master ball from Prof. Magnolia. |

2 | Leave your house and go to Hop’s house. Go up the stairs and head for the room in the far right to get a special gigantamaxing Charmander. |
3 | Head to the Slumbering Weald shrine. |
Slumbering Weald
1 | Watch the cutscene at the Slumbering Weald. |

2 | Prepare to battle Hop. He will have an Lv.59 Dubwool, Lv.59 Corviknight, Lv.58 Snorlax, Lv.58 Cramorant, Lv.58 Pinchurin, and his Lv.60 starter pokemon. (Hop Slumbering Weald Battle). |
3 | For Pokemon Sword, you will then be challenged by Swordward. He uses a Sirfetch’d, Doudblade, Bisharp, and Golisopod which are all at Lv.60. (Sordward Slumbering Weald Battle)

3 | Get the rare league card from Milo and exit the stadium. |
4 | Head to Hulbury Stadium. |
Hulbury
1 | Heal your pokemon at the pokemon center and go to Hulbury stadium. |

3 | Obtain the rare league card from Nessa. Exit the stadium and heal your pokemon at the pokemon center. |
4 | Head to Motostoke. |
Motostoke
1 | Proceed to Motostoke stadium and talk to Kabu. |

Wedgehurst Research Lab
1 | Heal your pokemon at the pokemon center and go to the pokemon lab. |

Hammerlocke

5 | Head to Stow-on-Side. |
Hammerlocke Energy Plant
1 | Proceed to the pokemon center to heal your pokemon. |

2 | Head to the stadium and talk to Sonia. |
3 | Proceed west inside the energy plant for a cutscene. |
4 | In Pokemon Sword, prepare to battle Swordward. He will use a Sirfetch’d, Bisharp, Doublade, and Golisopod, which are all at Lv.64. (Sordward Energy Plant Battle)
In Pokemon Shield, prepare to battle Shielbert. He will use a Sirfetch’d, Falinks, Klinklang, and Bronzong, which are all at Lv.64. (Shielbert Energy Plant Battle) |
5 | After defeating Swordward or Shielbert, go up the elevator at the top of the plant. |
6 | At the roof, either Zacian or Zamazenta will attack you. Make sure you have the right pokemon to fight the legendary pokemon. |
7 | For Pokemon Sword, Zamazenta will attack you. It will be at Lv.70 and is a fighting type pokemon. (Wild Zamazenta Hero Form Battle)

8 | Watch the cutscene and prepare to take on Zacian or Zamazenta. Now is the time to catch it using the master ball that Prof. Magnolia gave you or multiple ultra balls. |
8 | For Pokemon Sword, weaken Zacian first. This legendary pokemon is now fairy/steel type pokemon. (Wild Zacian Crowned Form Battle)
For Pokemon Shield, weaken Zamazenta first. This legendary pokemon is now a fighting/steel type pokemon. (Wild Zamazenta Crowned Form Battle) |
9 | After the battle, Piers will give you his rare league card. |
10 | Head to Wedgehurst. |
Wedgehurst – Slumbering Weald
1 | Heal your pokemon at the pokemon center and head to the Slumbering Weald. |

2 | Talk to Sonia to instantly go to the shrine. |
3 | Prepare for one final battle with Hop. He will use Lv.69 Dubwool, Lv.68 Snorlax, Lv.69 Corviknight, Lv.68 Pincurchin, Lv.70 Cinderace, and Lv. 70 Zamazenta. Deal with his team as before but send out Zacian when he is down to only Zamazenta. Attack Zamazenta with Sacred Sword to defeat Hop. (Hop with Zacian/Zamazenta Battle) |
4 | Watch the cutscene. You will obtain Hop’s rare league card afterwards. |
Spikemuth and Circhester
1 | From Slumbering Weald, fly to Spikemuth. |

2 | Look for Marnie near the Pokemon Center and accept her invitation for another pokemon battle. (Marnie Gym Battle) |
3 | From Spikemuth, fly to Circhester. Head to the plaza and go inside the hotel on the left. |
4 | Take the elevator to the second floor. Head to the far left and enter the second to the last room and finally talk to the policeman, Game Freak Morimoto. (Game Freak Morimoto Doubles Battle) |
