Overview

Raising Pokemon in the daycare is a staple method to obtaining Pokemon with high individual values. Moves that Pokemon don’t normally learn are called egg moves. These moves can only be taught to the Pokemon that hatches from an egg when the trainer leaves two Pokemon in the nursery. In order to generate an egg, the trainer needs to leave two Pokemon that belong to the same egg group. In the Galar region, some Pokemon gained a new egg group which gives them a chance to learn more egg moves.
