Champion cup finals stage guide for Dunne of Wyndon Stadium in Pokemon Sword and Pokemon Shield. This includes information about her hpokemon.

Guide for Wyndon Champion Cup Finals Stage (Dunne)

The Wyndon Champion Cup is the pokemon league in Pokemon Sword and Pokemon Shield. The trainer who wins the semifinals proceeds to the finals stage to face one of the Gym challengers.

Recommended Pokemon

Dunne has formed a ground type team and two of these have secondary types. His Sandaconda also doubles as a weather setter when struck by an attack. When sandstorm is active, it boosts its allies special defense which makes special attacks less effective. You can use physical grass or ice type attacks but you need to play around his Mudsdale to avoid getting hit with counter. Your team should be around level 75.

Here are the suggested Pokemon to use against Corvin’s team:

  • Flying: Corviknight
  • Grass: Ludicolo, Rillaboom, Shiftry
  • Ice: Abomasnow
  • Water: Inteleon, Seismitoad

Dunne Finals Stage Battle

  • Sandaconda (Lv. 56), Dugtrio (Lv. 56), Claydol (Lv. 57), Mudsdale (Lv. 57), Flygon (Lv. 58)

Dunne starts with Sandaconda which has the ability Sand Spit. Having this ability allows it to whip up a sandstorm to boost its party’s special defense. Your best option is to have a powerful grass type. If you didn’t select Grookey to start with, Ludicolo and Shiftry are also great options. Ludicolo takes neutral hits from Claydol’s Ice Beam. Meanwhile, Shiftry can prey on Claydol’s weakness to dark types as well. You can also use other dual types like Abomasnow which resists ground attacks. It comes with a strong boosted ice type attack that can pick off Flygon. Whichever Pokemon you choose, you may also disrupt the weather using dynamax. Use either a Max Windstorm or Max Geyser to remove Dunne’s sandstorm. Without Dunne’s weather, his party loses the special defense boost and at the same time boosts your Pokemon’s attacks.
