The Wyndon Champion Cup is the pokemon league in Pokemon Sword and Pokemon Shield. The trainer who wins the semifinals proceeds to the finals stage to face one of the Gym challengers.

Recommended Pokemon

Corvin is one of the unique additions to the gym challengers because no other trainer fashioned a team entirely out of electric types. Fortunately using ground types can give you a favorable matchup in almost all of his Pokemon. Your team should be around level 75.

Here are the suggested Pokemon to use against Corvin’s team:

• Ground: Excadrill, Flygon, Mamoswine

Corvin Finals Stage Battle

• Boltund (Lv. 56), Raichu (Lv. 56), Lanturn (Lv. 57), Toxtricity (Lv. 57), Dracozolt (Lv. 58)

Corvin’s team consists of electric type Pokemon. If your team isn’t high enough, use a ground type Pokemon and it should be relatively easy. Excadrill, Flygon, and Mamoswine all fare well against Corvin’s team and can even prove useful for later matches. Excadrill is immune to Toxtricity’s poison attacks, while Flygon resists Lanturn’s water attacks. Mamoswine does not resist either of those but can also use ice type attacks against Dracozolt. By having a reliable ground type Pokemon, you can have it come in safely against almost all of Corvin’s Pokemon’s attacks barring Lanturn’s ice type attack. If you’re starting out, you can also have your Pokemon use dynamax and follow up with Max Quake to knock out each of Corvin’s last three Pokemon.
