Guide for Wyndon Champion Cup Finals Stage (Nessa)

The Wyndon Champion Cup is the pokemon league in Pokemon Sword and Pokemon Shield. The trainer who wins the semifinals proceeds to the finals stage to face one of the Gym challengers.

Recommended Pokemon

Nessa returns and swaps two of her water types with ones that have secondary types. Similar to your previous battle with her, grass types are still useful to some extent. However, she now added Toxapex which might have a chance to survive and use a poison move of its own. If you haven’t trained your team enough, you may bring a combination of the types shown below. Your Pokemon should have enough firepower to take out each of Nessa’s Pokemon in one hit. To do that, you may attach items like a choice band, choice specs, or a life orb. Your team should be around level 75.

Here are the suggested Pokemon to use against Bea’s team:

• Electric: Boltund, Jolteon
• Grass: Ferrothorn, Leafeon, Rillaboom

Nessa Finals Stage Battle

• Golisopod (Lv. 60), Pelipper (Lv. 60), Quagsire (Lv. 61), Toxapex (Lv. 61), Drednaw (Lv. 62)

Nessa leads with Golisopod which almost always uses First Impression which chips off some of your Pokemon’s health. Your best bet is to use a powerful electric type attack like Thunderbolt to prevent it from activating its ability. Do the same against her Pelipper and Toxapex. If Nessa decides to bring Quagsire, send out a strong grass type to knock it out. When she’s down to her last Pokemon, use dynamax and have your Pokemon unleash a Max Overgrowth or Max Thunder.
