Overview
An ability is a feature that allows a Pokemon to gain an additional passive effect. The ability can have an effect in battle, in the overworld, or both. A certain Pokemon can have one of a maximum of three different abilities. Normally, after capturing a Pokemon, it can have one of two abilities. In rare cases, a Pokemon can also be caught with its hidden ability through special means. Among them, there are also never-before-seen abilities which may share the same effect with already existing ones or showcase new effects that revolutionize the way a trainer interacts with the overworld or in battle.
Currently, the listed abilities cover those that were revealed in past trailers. We will update this when the games come out.
