The Wyndon Champion Cup is the pokemon league in Pokemon Sword and Pokemon Shield. The trainer who wins the semifinals proceeds to the finals stage to face one of the Gym challengers.

Recommended Pokemon

Pia raised a team of grass type Pokemon with three of these having secondary types. Here, you can use fire type Pokemon or those that you used when you fought again Gym leader Milo or with your battle against the chairman. Poison types are also decent if it carries a fire type move. Your team should be around level 75.

• Fire: Arcanine, Cinderace, Salazzle
• Flying: Corviknight
• Poison: Galarian Weezing

Pia Finals Stage Battle

• Shiinotic (Lv. 56), Eldegoss (Lv. 56), Ferrothorn (Lv. 57), Vileplume (Lv. 57), Tsareena (Lv. 58)

Pia leads with Shiinotic which is also a part fairy type. Poison or fire types are indispensable. If you brought a poison type, you may use it here to take out Shiinotic quickly. Arcanine is one of the Pokemon best suited for the job because it can lower the Pokemon’s attack by one stage. Its ability comes in handy when faced against her Ferrothorn and Tsareena. Arcanine can remove some of Ferrothorn’s buffs if you send it out a turn or two later and can easily knock it out with a powerful fire type move. Alternatively you can use Corviknight however it might take a few more turns for it to defeat Ferrothorn. If the battle takes long, you can opt to have it dynamax and keep using Max Airstream until you knock it out.
