Stand Strong at Shambhala Strategy

1) Bring plenty of healing items

A good amount of healing items, especially elixirs, will help you survive the battle as many of the enemy’s titanus units hit very hard. Thales and his personal troops are also very strong so do not forget to be well-stocked with consumables before heading out.

2) Move your units as a group

Your units will be divided into four groups and positioned on opposite corners of the map. Engage the agarthan soldiers as a group to gain increased hit and avoidance.

3) Taking out the titanus

Ranged units should attack the titanus from high ground as much as possible to whittle down their HP. Have Byleth or any strong melee unit attack it until it gets stunned. Flying units will be especially effective here, particularly Seteth as a wyvern lord, as they can move after attacking Titanus. This prevents them from being damaged by titanus’ titanomachy attack that hits multiple targets in a wide area.

Attack titanus with your other melee units while it is stunned to avoid counterattacks. Have support units a good distance away from titanus use rescue on weakened allies to prevent titanus from finishing them off.

4) Collect door keys from the agarthan soldiers

You will need a door key to unlock the door to Thales. Take out the agarthan soldiers to obtain them and confront Thales in the room in the center of the map.

5) Distract the other titanus

It is not recommended to take out the titanus at the lower part of the map as you will have less HP and weapon durability when facing Thales. The viskam turrets will also randomly attack your units at the start of the enemy’s turn, making it harder to kill Thales if the fight drags on too long.

Have any of your units with good mobility distract them by luring them away from Byleth and those that will take on Thales.

5) Defeating Thales

Thales has a powerful attack that damages targets within a wide area. This makes it important to take him out fast. Have your most powerful melee units unload on with combat arts. It is likely that Thales will make quick work of them before he is defeated. Have your units flood the room and unload on Thales with combat arts. Do not hesitate to use divine pulse here in case any of your attacks miss or you forget to heal yourself before being hit by Thales’ attacks.
