Hunting by Daybreak Strategy

1) Space out your units

It can be risky to place Seteth or Claude near bow wielding bandits due to their effectiveness during the enemy phase. Have Byleth draw their attention to soak the damage while your team clears the archers out.

2) Use a Combat Art

After thinning out the enemies, students will start coming in on either side. Have them move in to support the party. To prevent your units from being surrounded, cut a path by using a combat art.

3) Don’t leave units out in the open

Some units don’t excel in sponging attacks due to their defense. Have them occupy the back line and assist by dealing with weakened foes. Keep in mind that you’ll want the path to be free of red tiles to avoid an ambush.

4) When issuing ranged units

When ranged allies join the fray, have them snipe or nuke melee enemies from afar. Follow up by having a melee unit assist to score a knock out unscathed.

5) Confronting Pallardo

Units in the lower corner will deal with the boss. Begin by sniping him with a ranged unit or use a battalion. Finish him off with your remaining units.

  1. You only get 3 keys in the stage and there is 4 chests. Can someone post whats in all the chests? I actulaly got an relic Axe in the top right chest on my Claude playthrough for house Gloucester.

    • There’s also a unique weapon called the Cursed Ashiya Sword in the top left chest. The other two chests are easy skips since they are generic weapons like an Armorsmasher and IIRC a Silver Lance.
