Ambush at Ailell Strategy

1) Advance towards Gwendal

Valley of Torment

Due to the lava floor located in different parts of the map, it is quite difficult for your ground-type units to maneuver. It is recommended that you have at least two or three flying units in your party in order to get to Gwendal faster. However, there are a few enemy sniper units on the battlefield, so have your cavalry with terrain resistance eliminate these units before they can attack your flying allies.

Near the end of the battle, Judith will appear in the top right corner of the map. This corner, while accessible, is quite far from the location of Gwendal. It is best that you defeat Gwendal as fast as possible using Seteth or Byleth before the enemies can take out Judith.

  1. I was wondering where Ashe went. I recruited him and had B support level. After the 5 year skip he was nowhere to be found… I though he couldn’t be recruited or something. I’ll make sure to defeat him with the Mc.

  2. I’m playing the Black Eagles route but I’ve wanted to recruit Ashe since the beginning of the game. Is there any way to recruit him or you have to kill him?

    • As far as I can tell, there’s is no new recruiting once you get to part two. There are some characters that if you recruited them in part one, they still come back as an enemy in part two, but once you beat them if gives you a choice to recruit them, but most just come back immediately once you start part two. In my golden deer play through I tried to get just about everyone of my units to talk to Ashe, but none could, and I eventually pinned him against a wall so he couldn’t really attack my units and I didn’t kill him, hoping if I ended the map with him still alive I could recruit him after, but he still disappeared after just like if I had killed him.

      • If you want to save Ashe, it only works if you recruited him during the school phase then with Byleth (mc) defeat him then it’ll allow you to persuade him into rejoining same with other units

    • If you recruited him during school phase beat him with mc (Byleth) and you should be able to persuade him into rejoining
