The Battle of Garreg Mach Strategy

1) Defeat the Winged Demonic Beast First

to war

The beast in the lower-left corner can prevent your units from advancing toward the enemy commander since it can fly almost anywhere around the map. Defeat this creature quickly using your best heavy hitters.

2) Defeating the Death Knight

While most of the enemies are easy to deal with, as long as you have high unit levels accomplished by finishing side missions, the Death Knight located to the west is tanky and can be quite difficult to stop once he advances towards Rhea. Units with high attack power like Seteth can defeat the knight in two or three turns. Make sure you have a healer with you to avoid losing a unit to it. Alternatively, if you can get to the commander and defeat it quickly, you don’t have to deal with this menacing enemy.

3) Dealing with the Commander

Defeating the enemy commander is not an easy task. Since she has a lot of ally units surrounding her, it is best to take them out first using units that can deal high damage. Take advantage of these units’ weaknesses, the flying enemies can be countered using archers, while units with heavy armor can be easily defeated by magic users.

While the commander has a very high attack power and can deal damage from a distance, she has a lower chance of landing a hit due to her low speed. Take advantage of this weakness by pitting her against units that have high speed stats to avoid her attacks.
