Latest Roster of Confirmed Characters
Fire Emblem: Three Houses, the latest game in the long-running series of tactical role-playing games, is set for release on July 26, 2019 on the Nintendo Switch. While the game’s launch is still quite far off, Nintendo has been more than diligent in rolling out bits of interesting information and in-game screenshots of characters confirmed to appear in the game.

Byleth

The player character of Fire Emblem: Three Houses is a travelling mercenary named Byleth. He becomes a professor at the Officer’s Academy of Garreg Mach Monastery after being guided by a vision of a mysterious girl named Sothis. Prior to arriving at the academy, Byleth awakens an unknown power within him and goes on a quest for answers about the fateful event.
Players can choose to play as either a male or female version of Byleth.
Edelgard von Hresvelg
Edelgard is the heiress apparent to the Adrestian Empire and leads the Black Eagles house. As a student in the academy, Edelgard is seen as cold, though exudes a refined and noble demeanor.
Dimitri Alexandre Blaiddyd
The prince of the Kingdom of Fhaergus and leader of the Blue Lions house, Dimitri embraces a code of chivalry valued in his homeland. As knightly as the future king strives to be, an “inner darkness” is said to exist within him.
Claude von Riegan
Claude comes from the noble family that reigns over the Leicester Alliance. As leader of the Golden Deer house, Claude is a keen individual who outwardly presents himself as not giving much attention to serious matters.
Sothis
A mysterious girl who appears to Byleth in his visions. She does not appear to be human and seems to know something about Byleth’s newly-awakened powers.
Hubert
Hubert is Edelgard’s loyal attendant and one of the Black Eagles house’s representatives. A cold and calculating man who has served the heiress apparent since childhood, Hubert has unquestionable obedience to Edelgard. He will go to great lengths to see his mistress’ goals realized.
Dodou
The towering and stoic Dodou hails from the Kingdom of Fhaergus’ Dascar region and serves Dimitri as one of the Blue Lions house representatives. Dodou is of humble origins, being born a commoner before meeting the prince of Fhaergus, who he is deeply indebted to.
Jeralt
Byleth’s father and former leader of the Knights of Seiros, Jeralt is an accomplished warrior who has since become a traveling mercenary. As the leader of his own band of warriors, Jeralt is stern and focused. Nevertheless, he looks out for his son throughout their journeys.
Archbishop Lea
The leader of the Church of Seiros, Archbishop Lea guides and protects all those who declare their faith to Seiros with motherly care. She recognizes Byleth’s potential and offers him the position of professor at the Officer’s Academy, which the young warrior accepts.
