In the Abyss, there’s a certain location where Byleth can obtain additional items aside from purchasing them from the hidden town’s armory and item shop.

Abyss Map and Facilities

The area is called the Scrap Heap where the Abyssians throw away their unused weapons or items. Weapons acquired will most likely appear as “rusty weapons”.

How to Unlock

The Scrap Heap is unlocked in the Cindered Shadows DLC side story by clearing Chapter 1 – The Fourth House. To unlock it in the main game, talk to the Influencer and spend 500 renown points for the Encourage Recycling feature.

Once unlocked, you will be able to scavenge for used and rusted weapons once a month at the location.

Visit the Abyss’ blacksmith to forge the rusty weapons or repair used weapons. Remember that using services of the blacksmith costs money and ores.

One way of obtaining ores is by defeating enemy monsters or demonic beasts. Specifically, defeating them by breaking all of their yellow tiles.

Obtainable Weapons from the Scrap Heap

• Chapter 2 – Hand Axe
• Chapter 3 – Rusted Axe and Iron Sword
• Chapter 4 – Iron Lance and Training Gauntlets
• Chapter 5 – Training Gauntlets and Training Bow
