How to Defeat Monsters and Demonic Beasts
Demonic Beasts are monster enemies that randomly appear on the battlefield. These monster enemies are territorial and will attack any side when engaged. They also occupy multiple tiles and have multiple HP bars called “Stocks.”

Players needed to execute three strategies in order to defeat demonic beasts effectively:
- Break Yellow Barriers.
- Reduce Stocks to Zero.
- Avoid or Prepare for Charged Area Attacks
Break Yellow Barriers
Yellow barriers are located underneath the tiles where the demonic beasts are currently. These barriers provide defensive boosts to the monster enemies making them harder to defeat.
In order to break the yellow barriers, players must lead their units facing the yellow tiles. Units can either perform normal attacks using weapons, Combat Arts, or Gambits.
When Combat Arts are Used
Using Combat Arts is an effective way to defeat demonic beasts since these special attacks provide additional effects to the attacking unit. For example, using Monster Piercer on a demonic beast will give the user Avoid +10 after attacking.
When Gambits are Used
Using a gambit will put the unit at risk of future attacks since the demonic beast will start focusing its attention on the user.
When yellow barriers are broken, the demonic beast will be in a “confused” state. This makes it unable to counter-attack for a short period. However, these broken barriers will regenerate if the Demonic Beasts are not eliminated quickly.
If the player was able to successfully break all the yellow barriers in one turn, it will result in the “Armor Break” status. This also makes the monster unable to move. In addition, the player is rewarded with valuable items for performing such a feat.
Reduce Stocks to Zero
Breaking the yellow barriers completely allows the player to reduce the demonic beast’s HP. However, demonic beasts have multiple HP bars called Stocks. With each stock you take out, the monster’s remaining HP will recover back to 100%. This continues until all stocks have been depleted.
For example, if the demonic beast has two stocks, the player needs to take out three HP bars. The first two are the stock HP bars, and the last one is the base HP bar.
Avoid or Prepare for Charged Area Attacks
In cases of the demonic beast surviving your attacks, it will gather enough energy to release a devastating area attack on its next turn.
This charged attack deals huge damage to all units in its range. The player has a chance to avoid or move away from it by observing when its target area is colored red.
