Arsène is an Initial Persona exclusive to the Protagonist or Joker in Persona 5 and Persona 5 Royal. This Persona belongs to the Fool Arcana.
Arsène Overview
Commonly read as Arsène, this Persona is the symbol of the Fool Arcana. Arsène belongs to the protagonist and awakens to him when the city of Shibuya is nearly engulfed in darkness. Soon after the hero awakens to Arsène, he establishes the Phantom Thieves of Hearts.
He and his wielder are both anti-heroes. Arsène is a fictional gentleman thief created by Maurice Leblanc. He targeted criminals or those who were worse criminals than himself. His true name is Arsène Lupin and was known as a master of disguise. While fighting for good, he would use methods that didn’t agree with the law. Arsène falls into the Gentleman Thief archetype with his trademark Gallic style and panache.
Just like him, the protagonist resorts to vigilante activities in order to make the world a better place. Even if the law does not approve of his methods. This happens when he interacts with other members of law enforcement, oftentimes getting into trouble even if he didn’t intend it.
