History

When first introduced, Yusuke appears to be an honor student. He takes up an Art Course in Kosei High School while also learning under Ichiryusai Madarame. Orphaned at a young age, he lives with his mentor and continues painting with him. His mother was also a painter that learned under the same mentor.

His debut occurs when Yusuke approaches Ann Takamaki. Unfortunately, protagonist and Ryuji Sakamoto mislabel him as a “stalker,” which causes a bit of a ruckus. He asks Ann to become a model for his next painting, inviting her to go to his master’s art exhibition to consider his offer. Upon learning, however, that Madarame is a fraud, the Phantom Thieves decide to accept Yusuke’s offer so they can investigate Madarame.
