Recommend Strategies
Shadow Madarame will transform into its painting form. Use Tarunda or Sukunda in the Painter’s Mouth and Rakunda on the Painter’s Left Eye. After applying the debuffs, use single-target physical attacks to the Left Eye. After the Left Eye, focus on Right Eye Painting using the same strategy. While targeting the Painter’s Eyes, keep your party sustained with heals and buffs.
Next is the Painter’s Nose. Use single-target physical attacks again while keeping the party in full health. After that, target the Painter’s Mouth with a barrage of magic attacks. Nuke attacks like Frei appear to hurt more.
After all the painting forms are destroyed, the boss will return to its Shadow form. Shadow Madarame will summon four duplicates to aid him. These duplicates have an elemental affinity ranging between Electric, Fire, Ice, and Wind. Defeat the clones first by using magic attacks that will exploit their weakness. You can also use multi-target physical attacks like Captain Kidd’s Rampage or Goemon’s Vicious Strike to defeat more than one duplicate. Moreover, take advantage of baton pass to defeat multiple duplicates in one turn. Furthermore, inflict status ailment skills such as Dormina to disable the duplicates from using magic attacks against you in battle.
Until the original Shadow Madarame is defeated, the boss will keep on summoning duplicates. Take note that Shadow Madarame uses multi-target Almighty attacks.

arahabaki guard is weak to wind and nuke not psi retard
The password at Madarame’s Feet in the English version of the game is 1120 “One, Alone, Two, None” being the keywords to figure it out.
The Arahabaki that guards the blue will seed is weak to WIND and NUKE, not PSI and NUKE.
I believe the guide misses a treasure chest behind one of the fake walls during the sayori section when you are in the section with 3 sayori paintings and have to jump to the right to find the real one.
Yup I just got to that part and you were right
Thanks i just hate missing chests
Unfortunately there seems to be a slight drop in quality between the first palace guide and this one
From my research and experience playing the game, Treasure Hall Lounge has been changed the laser section is completely different and I’m stuck on how to get the password because after easedropping you only get one half. With the lasers changed I can’t get to the painting
You may have figured it out already but just in case you haven’t, you have to backtrack slightly to the statue of Madarame & read the sign next to it’s feet.
Where is that statue? I’ve scathered legitimately EVERY SINGLE FLOOR of this spot and I fucking hate it
