3. There is lots wrong with this guide for this month (which I’ve been following from the beginning) but 6/13 and 6/14 I don’t get any sort of prompt to stay longer in the bath, Joker just says it’s too hot and he’s getting out.

4. If you want to dodge chalk just smash to left stick to left at least 2 times. First time i didnt believe it will work but it really increase chance to dodge to nearly %100! Please try it and it will help you in the future and you can find youtubers in online doing the same.

   • Probably you messed up on 6/8 you should get 3 point if you make correctly and you will level up your proficiency. I level uped that day.

   • For those that are having trouble with reloading waiting for Morgana’s comment, I don’t know if this is just straight-up darn lucky with coincidences on the side, but ever since I started having conscious clicks after exactly a second after Joker makes the infiltration tools (when you hear the ding sound, count exactly a second or so) I started getting consecutive comments from Morgana since 6/18 until 6/20 and I’m currently at my 4th try of chalk dodge rn but still having Morgana to comment everytime. I don’t know if it’s really just coincidence but feel free to try it out and reply if it works for you too.

An advice: unless it’s your first time playing a persona game, never follow blindly these guides, so you don’t panic if something is different, older games had a really tight schedule but in the enhanced versions, you have way more freedom, so if some things aren’t coinciding relax… I’ve played persona 3 and 4 before and I know that you have some extra days with nothing else to do, thing is: never have a day with nothing to do, if you have, reload aprox. a week before and rethink your schedule

11. Tip for the maker of the guide if we need a specific type of Persona for Confidant levels don’t just say what it is tell how to get it. Like it is all well and good I need specific types of personas at the end of certain Palace’s but if those aren’t available in said palace maybe say what you do need for the fusion to get the type we do need. Cause I wasted so much time buying and fusing to get certain ones that I just gave up and said f it and went on with the game anyway. This guide is meant to be helpful to make the game more enjoyable but so far between the lack of guidance on needed persona’s and the constant need to reload cause of certain skill stats it’s just make the game a freaking headache and sucking all the fun out of it.

13. I like your guide, except the constant reloading. I’ve reloaded more than 50 times for billiards on 6/16. On the first one I reloaded three times to get Knowledge. You know what was the first two? Guts.

    How about options and what’s acceptable. If ya get guts on first knowledge should be then second or vice versa. The constant reloading ruins this guide.

25. PSA: DO NOT WIN DARTS EARLY
    My very first try I got Makoto then Ann. I’m not dogshit at this game so I ended up winning on Joker’s turn. DO NOT DO THIS. YOU HAVE TO BE TRASH AT THIS GAME OR THROW THE GAME. The AI needs to make it to the 4th round and win to hit rank 3. Otherwise, the AI only reaches rank 2.

Please take out all of the “Don’t buy silk yarn etc” messages when you instruct people to ‘if they already have enough’ because it’s made me reset so many times when you later don’t mention going to the shop or don’t include any time going to mementos this early or spread out palace visits to collect them frequently

30. Warning for anybody reading this: you’re forced to romance Ann and Takemi if you want to keep this guide 100%. It doesn’t mention that, but it’s the way it works. There’s work around for the next months comment sections for friendship for both, but please be aware of this! I lost around 13 hours of gameplay having to go back. Thankfully I know from experience now but Jesus that’s a huge mistake.

    • I think it’s a miss translation. I took it as asking him to craft the frei skill card rather than actually furthering his confidant rank which you do later on. I must admit it had me for a second. He seems to have levelled up fine.

This guide is really inconsistent with the answers it gives in the guide vs the answers in the game. it’s really frustrating having to switch between guides just to get the right answers instead of having to guess what the right answer is from the poorly written guide. as well as not giving information as when you need and how many materials you need for crafting. I had to reload old saves like 5 times because I burned through materials so quickly and with no warning that I would need 8 of each lockpick material in two days with no opportunity to buy them. So dumb please fix this guide as to not confuse new AND returning players.

This guide explicitly says there are no story spoilers and yet you spoil that Kasumi is apparently not her real name because it’s the only confidant you do that with. Just… why? You might as well write a spoiler free review of Fight Club and say that the narrator meets “Tyler Durden”. What the hell.

    That’s too brutal, because it rely on RNG too much.
    Most people will ended up reloading the game too much, instead playing the games.

    • You can avoid the double switched event on 6/20-6/21 if you have more than 3 lockpicks (which… You should have). Just study on 6/20 instead and make lockpicks on 6/21. Both days are cloudy so you should get the study bonus anyways.

41. I can’t get Priestess +1 from Darts on 6/22, I resetted more than 4 Times it is easy for me to get Ann and Makoto by choosing Makoto first Ann is most likely the random pick you will get. But I can’t figure out how it would be possible to get Priestess +1 if you don’t have the confidant? Can someone confirm that they got the normal note over Makotos head?

          • Its not important to get priestess,your only doing it to get the Baton pass to level 3 for both Ann and makoto for the fight with kamashiro since its recommending for you to go with joker Mona panther and queen.

    • At the end of the game you get +1 from anyone you got 4th round and picked the right answer. Also +1 from the random you didn’t play with.

    I found a couple of errors in it though.
    1)The “playing the game” book is actually renamed in P5R to “The Art of Charm”, this is incorrect on the early morning 6/15.
    2)Also 6/15 in the morning section states “Classroom Question (Knowledge +1) Option #2: “A Coin”, this is incorrect. It actually occurs in the afternoon on 6/15.

    • The only thing worrying me is the lack of trips to mementos. I’m wanting to fight the reaper as i’m on ng+ and have more free time, but the guide hasn’t sent me to mementos once yet since the mission were you have to go to mementos

47. The RNG on 6/20-6/21 is sort of brutal, have to be honest. I reloaded about 9 times to finally get them both, and I would even say that’s on the luckier side; I can only imagine how long it took others. If there’s any way to not rely on two random events one after the other, it’d be nice to know…

    However, thanks for the rest of the guide! I wanted to go perfect for P5R after just winging P5, so I’m having an alright time, save for the RNG.

53. 6/22 – I was confused about this at first, you should add more details. The odds of getting Makoto and Ann are sort of low, but I got it on my second try.

    You can get +3 proficiency if you do well. I got a Low Ton in the first round with Makoto and a Triple 60 (Hi 20, I think?) with Ann, and it gave me +2 and then +1.

    • On 6/25-6/26 it says to spend time with both Yusuke and Makato in the afternoon but time passes after you spend time with one. Am I missing something? Should I prioritize one over the other? Halp! 😛

    • Yes! You are supposed to have three crafting sessions, one for 3 lockpicks and two for 4 lockpicks, so you’d need 11 of each! I messed up because of that, hopefully it’s not catastrophic…

I kept having to reload that day because of the rng which was incredibly irritating and I didn’t even realize i messed it up until the next kasumi event thing.

59. Suggest making a similar guide that didn’t really rely on the damn RNG for crafting. Reloading the same save 20 times to get one extra point because it fails all the time (even making one tool at a time) is frustrating.

62. The guide works flawless so far. People with problems probably picked a wrong answer or did not equip a matching persona. The game is also not really hard to max out without a guide, so if you screwed up just play the game.

    • No it really doesn’t, the guide is for the Japanese version of the game and there are clearly changes between the versions because the books have different names and there is time wasted at some points in the guide.

      The reloading is messed up too, at one point you have to get a perfect craft and dodge chalk in a single throw.

      Best to ignore whichever confidants in this guide that you aren’t interested in and focus on the stuff that matters to you.

      It tells you not to buy crafting materials for lock picks if you already have them, then it tells you to craft when you don’t have any materials. At one point it tells you IMPORTANT: make sure you have 200k how are you supposed to have 200k when you are saving all the mementos missions for later?

      Many of the other guides are the same though because they just copy info from each other.

      • Making money in this game is a real joke, I have 750k yen right now in Kaneshiro’s palace. Just abuse hold up and ask for money and you will be rich before you know it!

67. Found a trick to almost guarantee getting 3 points when making items (i.e lock picks). The guide says to do them all at once but do them individually instead. It will increase your chances of getting extra note by the chances you have. Only one needs to succeed.

    • After a bit of Googling … Samurai, you should DEFINITELY REMOVE THE QUOTATIONS AROUND KASUMIS NAME.

    • twins event most likely to be extra content, it’s fun but really not needed, you’ll get skill cards that helps though. but the twins arcana solely relies on persona making

      • Twins is extra content, but those events with them are time-locked, so if you don’t do them all by a certain time, you can’t get the rest of them (and you miss some really fun scenes later on that way)

The guide tells you to make 4 lockpicks twice in a row, unfortunately many players will not have the materials, so i advise putting a warning at the beginning of the month for this requirement, and for those with extra lockpicks due to savedata/dlc bonuses i recommend making the calming aroma instead to reduce material costs.I have unfortunately not discovered a solution to the sojiro rank so i advise replacing a twins event with it.

    • 2-3 3-4 require you to make coffee before hand and then spend time with him. I replaced the reading of the book the evening before with making coffee and got the rank up just fine. Books can be caught up on once you unlock the skill to read them in one sitting.

    • It is not necessarily for the lockpicks (though they are a plus) but more so for the proficiency +3 points. Certain stat levels are needed to progress or even start some confidants. Proficiency afaik isnt needed for anyone but higher prof helps you in luck-based stat events like chalk throwing to get charm. I needed an event to level up Sojiro so as somebody suggested I used one of the twins’ events that gives you cards

86. About 6/22. Can you even get a Priestess +1 point when you haven’t unlocked her confidant? I’ve tried doing it multiple times with Ann/Makoto, Makoto/Ryuji and even Makoto only, just to check. I never got +1 with Priestess but got +1 with the rest.
    Also, you can get +3 on Proficiency if you not only hit a hat-trick but all of your darts are inside the innermost circle (There are 2 circles for bulls-eye).

    • And it’s not that you can get only any 3 out of the 4 mentioned +1 points with confidants. I tried the same with the group of Ann, Ryuji, Yusuke and Morgana and each of them got a +1, because I’d already unlocked their confidant routes.

    • As of 4/26, I saw the little musical note above Makoto’s head when I played Darts. I called Makoto and Ann was an RNG partner for me (after about 3 resets), so it is possible to get the Priestess +1.

    • The extra proficiency can also be gained with Three in a Bed (I did Three Triple 20s to get both Hi Ton and Three in a Bed at the same time).

91. I’m on 6/22 and i cannot for the life of me get Makoto or Ann as a random partner, despite multiple reloads and mixing it up choosing either one each reload. It’s always ends up being Ryuji or Yusuke as the random partner. Is the guide incorrect on that part or is it possible?

    • It’s possible – it took me forever too, and I even made a post about it below. You also can’t tell who’s going to be your partner until you play through the first round. Where they’re standing doesn’t matter, so don’t make the same mistake as me.

92. Some minor notes:

    I ran out of lockpick crafting supplies after crafting on 6/19 as there was no warning I’d be needing 8 of both items. This section also has back to back metaverse excursions so you don’t have an opportunity to go shopping. There ought to be a step on 6/18 to purchase more. I compensated by crafting other items instead since I had sufficient lockpicks already.

    Next, I also followed the guide explicitly and did not get the Sojiro event on 6/3. Instead I swapped out the first Twins event on 6/6. This may have long term implications, but it is very possible – as others have described – that there are hidden point values in previous steps (e.g., making coffee/cleaning the shop) that are not readily visible.

    • You get points with Sojiro when making coffee and cleanign the shop like you said, its not a hidden value, you get to see a +1 note above his head everytime. The author suggested to do those 2 multiple times and I got the event on 6/3 normally. Its also worth saying I didnt always have a hierophant persona when I done them.It only counts during confidant events

I been doing all the guide says and it is 99% accurate, do not know why so many people have problems, I wonder if it is because they do not have the persona required to get the extra points, the only 2 inconvenients are translation problems and the need to read all palace info to ensure you get everything

    • Indeed, the only false info is the date of the Imported protein ( its 6/6 instead of 6/4). Everything else is correct minus the translation which is to be expected since english version is only 6 days old. I believe sometimes they either forget the persona or miss a small step ( like a crossword) and thats why problems come up. I dont know if the problem with ann rank 10 is true though, I read that the guide goes for romance in order to get more points and does the same with takemi, and that will be a problem if true.

94. On 6/22 do you NEED to get Baton Pass rank 3 for both Ann and Makoto, or do you just need the +1 for both of them? I reloaded for about 30 minutes and was never able to play with both of them, which given that it’s a 33% chance to random the one I “need”, makes it feel like it might not be a possible combination. I tried manually inviting both, and never got it – but I was able to get the +1 on both of them.

    • Nvm, on my last attempt I actually got them both – I thought it was possible to tell who was gonna be your partner based on where they stood, it isn’t. You have to actually play through your first partners game to find out who your second is.

96. Man, this guide is hilarious. I should have just used the gamefaqs one instead.

    It is impossible to get proficiency +2 on 6/22. Did you guys not even play test this before uploading it?

    • If you check the guide at gamefaqs, it says answering questions at class/tv shows/ croswords give +2 Knowledge. Interacting with sun confidant says +3 charm.
      Bathhouse at early june says charm +3 guts +2 ( while its +2 and +1 ) .Study at lebland +5 knowledge.
      These are just random reads from june part alone. Every single one of their numbers are wrong. And a guide supposedly is counting to calculate for the future.They obviously dont. Whats more all the pages are lastly updated on early march and havent been touched since. Here at least the editor updates the guides, corrects mistakes and reads the comment section ( and replying). Gamefaqs just left them at stage 1 and moved on to who knows what.
      Both have their flaws, pick your poison. I havent encountered a single issue up to 15/6 for what its worth

      • I’m sure this is the perfect way to go through the game, but the dart throwing on june 22 is just ridiculous. Reload two dozen times until you luck onto the exact 2 partners you need AND don’t mess up the darts for the 2 proficiency? Completely insane imo. The save scrubbing for picks and chalk dodging was getting annoying but at this rate this guide is straight up not fun to follow.

          • I get Makoto and Ann by choosing Makoto first. Ann is most likely the Random Pick. But I cant get Priestess+1 from Darts

    • It’s not – you need to get a hat trick, or do one of the other challenges. It even mentions after you get it that if you get a hat trick it’ll give you an additional point.

97. Can’t rank up Sojiro on 6/3. Is it possible to do it later without messing up anything serious. I have seen some people comment that they were also unable to do so. Has anyone actually ranked up Sojiro on 6/3. If so, then I’d need to go back all the way to April.

    • Greetings, I can confirm that I have. I think its important to have done all the coffee brewing at nights. There are at least 2-3 times the guide tells you to do it between ranks.It gives Sojiro points on top of kindness. Are you 100% you didnt miss a day ? I remeber I almost missed one because I had to talk to the customers in order to leave firsts.

      • Hi. I’m sure I didn’t miss a single day. I actually botched up my first playthrough of the original P5 back in 2017, so I made sure to follow this guide faithfully. Any chance I could rank up Sojiro later, cuz now I lack 2pts for Kindness as well. I have progressed a little beyond 6/5 hoping to find an opportunity in the future, but if it isn’t possible to rank him to max in the future now, please tell me. Then I’d have no other choice but to start from 4/23.
        One thing I’d like to mention is that my knowledge didn’t rank up to 3 on 6/5 a first. I then reloaded my save and then it ranked up. I thought it would be the same for Sojiro as well, but didn’t work.

          How the hell do you reload a save, do nothing different than you did before, and all of a sudden your Knowledge rank goes up to 3 when it didn’t before?

          And you don’t explain shit about it.

    • im 90% sure whats causing it is that when you brew you have a chance for +2 instead of +1(just like with lockpicks and prof). Its also the extra one could have come from cleaning the bathrooms. I figure 1 of them has to have a chance b/c I was 1 note off the next rank. What I did to get around this was Clean the bathroom you could also brew but I wanted kindness, and then spending time with him on one of the slots thats listed as a prison part since the skill cards are meh.

    • I ranked up Sojiro just fine on 6/3. You probably didn’t have a Hiero. Persona on one of the days you spent time with hum beforehand

102. Many people are having issues with 5/1 Flower shop job. I believe it is not possible this date, even checking the “network everyone’s activity log” and didn’t see anyone work at flower shop. Please check out gamefaqs guide for the alternative working at the convenience store for charm +3. The gamefaqs guide start the flower job on June 22.

     Note that I am not stating that the gamefaqs guide is better. I have both guides open due to the flower shop issue. There are stuff that samura-gamers guide have that gamefaqs doesn’t.

     To whomever wrote this guide, please adjust for 5/1. There is a flaw here.

113. Bit gross to have a double reset point where making tools is followed by chalk in the morning. Even if the tools go well you can still get hit by the chalk. I dunno the more I follow this guide the less efficient it actually feels. I have like 17 lockpicks now. There’s so many times where you’re doing social stat stuff when a confidant is available, even Kawakami is extremely delayed who gives exceptional free time.
