Persona 5 Royal - Details on New Kyouma Enemies

Kyouma in Persona 5 Royal

Persona 5 Royal will introduce a new class of enemy called “kyouma.” These enemies are described as powerful versions of the original game’s shadows. In terms of their appearance, kyouma seem to be veiled in a purple aura that makes them look more intimidating than their shadow counterparts. Kyouma are also identified by the sparks of electricity that surround them.

Kyouma are more challenging to deal with than shadows. This is because of their ability to immediately counterattack after being damaged. Since attacking them head-on is very risky, players must be creative in taking down these formidable foes.

Rare items are rewarded for defeating kyouma. There were, however, no specifics on the items to be obtained.

Currently Revealed Kyouma

Bicorn

The kyouma bicorn was the first variant to be shown in released footage. It had quite an interesting color scheme and radiated a purple aura when it appeared.

Norn

The player was seen attacking a kyouma norn in the Morgana Report #2 video. The enemy immediately fired back with an electric attack that inflicted stun on its target.
