Boss Strategies (Both Versions)
Here is a breakdown of the battle strategies against the mini-boss. This applies to both Persona 5 and Persona 5 Royal unless otherwise specified.
Use Ice Spells Against Koppa Tengus
The battle will start with Fox. Command him to down all four Koppa Tengus using Bufu. Then, finish them off with multi-target physical skills.
Debuff Ippon-Datara
Land debuff skills against the mini-boss using Panther’s Tarunda and Joker’s Sukunda and Rakunda (if available). Unfortunately, Status Ailments does not work against the mini-boss.
Aim for Critical Hits
The only way to knock down Ippon-Datara is through critical hits. Among all the party members, Fox and Skull can deliver possible critical hits against the mini-boss. To increase critical chance, command Joker to use Rebellion (if available) and cast to either Skull or Fox.
