Yuuki Mishima, the Moon Confidant in Persona 5 Royal
Yuuki Mishima is a strong supporter of the Phantom Thieves. He believes in their sense of justice and will do anything for them. The Protagonist initially meets him through Kamoshida’s bullying of students. After the whole incident, Mishima apologizes to Ann and the others for not being able to speak up against the bullying. He hopes to make up for it by being the Phantom Thieves’ mediator for requests.
He’s the only one who is aware of the existence of the Phantom Thieves. As such, he creates a website that helps the world discover who the Phantom Thieves are.

Unlocking Mishima
The Moon Confidant unlocks automatically on May 6. It progresses by completing requests on the site. His Confidant abilities are quite useful, increasing the experience gained. It also allows non-active party members to gain experience. Maxing out his Confidant allows every party member to gain experience evenly, even when they are not active in the party. After you max out, you can summon Sandalphon.

On 6/21 evening, after seeing the 3rd boss for the first time with Makoto, Mishima text and asked if I want to hang out at a buffet event. It never happened in the first 2-3 times that I’ve played through. This event happened before I started going to the infiltration route for the 3rd boss.
For Rank 4, “I’m expecting it next” wasn’t an option for me. Pick “You’ll get better ideas” for +2 notes.
In Royal, it doesn’t even say that “you feel you can become closer due to *Moon Arcana Name*” Which makes me think they completely dropped the charade of his confidant being tied to affinity points. In case you don’t know, Mishima can only be progressed via doing the mementos requests that he gives you.
i would have an editor go through the whole game again and revise everything. there is too much incorrect or missing information.

For the 3rd rank it’s actually his Enthusiasm Which increases exp earned from battle.
For Rank 2 the phone response is incorrect. If you choose the “Good hustle” response you get +2.
This guide is bullshit. I followed it for Rank 3, and the good options earned me one point less each.
you need to have a moon persona in your personas to get the full points, otherwise you get one less (as you seem to have)
Wrong. Unless it’s changed from the base game, the Moon and Sun arcana social links advance due to various requirements, but advancement is not affected by having a persona of the right arcana. This means that even though you can get different numbers of notes for dialogue options, it doesn’t matter for ranking up. Guide should be revised. Unless this is really changed in Royal, but I doubt it.

You do not need a persona for Moon. As others have pointed out, rank ups are entirely based on completing requests in Mementos. Responses give different point amounts but you’ll rank up no matter what, if you’ve completed the necessary requests.
