In P5R, the Velvet Room is not yet available for ‘free’ access on Central Street on April 18. Yet the walkthrough says I can go there…
A lot of people commenting on this guide don’t know how to read. At the top of the guide, it clearly states this is for the JAPANESE version of the game. If you are playing the English version, you need to find a different guide.
Any suggestions?
If you just started, consider using another guide. There are way too much inconsistentcy in the guide later on which is very annonying. Not unfixable, but what is the point of a guide if you have to fix the social links youself.
Yeah I followed this to the T but ran into an issue in May for some reason. Oh well going to try another guide.

How do I get the next rank for ryuji since i can’t get a chariot persona for ryuji by 4/19?
So how do I get the confidant rank with ryuji since I can’t get agaithon (Chariot) persona in time for this?
I didn’t do the cross word puzzle on 4/18 so my intelligence didn’t increase does this matter much? Or can I just do it on a different day and it won’t really effect anything much?

This guide is quite good, but I’d like to add a few pieces of advice on the first month so fewer people gets surprised later on.
First there are a few confidant issues (Ann and Tae around september) (Ohya and Iwai around october/november) on the guide, that mess up the outcome, IF you don’t follow certain romance options. These issues are avoidable and fixeable, so, worry not.
This guide over focuses on getting max stats on events like lockpick crafting, or the chalk throw in the classroom, telling you that you should reset to a prior save if you fail the event. I found out that this is not really needed, I didn’t care about getting those perfectly and my stats progressed nicely and I even managed to max some before the guide did.
How to avoid these issues and avoid having to reset until you nail these events? Easy, Use Chihaya every time possible. You can use all readings on a single day, so, you could easily invest into a stat growth and an affinity one per day, plan accordingly so you don’t waste cash. This means, first thing each day would be going to her to get the readings, then you can get extra stats from the juice, or other activities. Chihaya is EVERY DAY at her usual spot, during the afternoon and the evening, unless it’s raining. Both readings cost 5k, so it’s advisable that you grind a bit of extra cash during the first months to prepare for that.
This guide also doesn’t use the phantom thieves calling postcard, even though it does tell you to buy them. I managed to avoid all confidant issues using these when needed, IE, when I had to hang out with Iwai and the game told me I wasn’t going to get a relationship growth, I sent him a post card + the affinity reading of chihaya, and boom, confidant growth achieved. Doing this I managed to max out all confidants at the times the guide said I would and some even before that, giving me some free time to do other stuff.
Adding these slight changes frees up some time for you to do all the twins event’s, for example, or increase any stat you’ve been behind for whatever reason.
USE ANOTHER GUIDE. PLEASE. This guide has spoilers despite what the writer says, and it doesn’t work. I’m actually considering restarting with a reliable guide because of how much this guide threw me off. VERY annoyed.

In 4/18 the guide said to go to velvet room and fuse mandrake (Death arcana) but the velvet room does not appear unless we go to the palace. how it is so?

The guide is great up to a point I havent seen an update about it yet so I will post here and hope ppl see it. The guide assumes you will romance most of the s-links. if you dont want that your gonna have a bad time.

To be blunt, it assumes you’re going to be romancing a few of the women. If you’re not ok with that, like if you just want to romance your girl of choice, this isn’t the walkthrough for you.
Can you recommend a walkthrough that has some similarities but will give you the choice to romance whichever you like to?
Wdym? When you get to rank 9 the guide gives you options for both romance and the friendship route, I recommend checking again.
Hello, on 4/19 you have to talk several times the present customer in the café in order to make him leave (condition to be able to read) then read the book.
Correct location is next to the bar’s phone. Not quite a book shelf. Was getting mad at the empty upstair shelf.
anyone else having issues with 4/27 and ranking sojiro to level 3?
dont see what im doing wrong if following the guide. seems there maybe errors in it. i have recommended personas too.
its because on the previous days you would hang with him you were supposed to have berith on you so you could get the persona boost to hanging out. but on those days you would have to get the persona after school not in the evening listed because you couldnt go out on those days. sorry if this is hard to understand i had this same issue.

I wouldn’t recommend using this guide if you are only planning on romancing one person, because of the guide expecting you to romance everyone without saying anything about it.

I completed the game using this guide and ended up romancing one person. So, it is possible. Just pay attention to what it says when doing rank 9 for any of the romance options.
4/19 how did you get to read the book? every time i examine the book shelve mona just say that it would be good to put some books on it, and i already have bought all the books available on the store plus the one from the library
you have to go downstairs to leblanc. get rid of the customer and then read on the counter near sojiro.
Has anyone aside from the guide author actually crafted the third lockpick? I know I gave up on it in original P5 and it was fine, but with extra confidants idk if the timeline is as tight as other persona games like P3 FES.
I was able to craft the 3rd lockpick but I got lucky and did it on the first try.
The Gun Weakness for Succubus is not correct, it has been removed! She is now Weak against Wind.
I love the guide! Just as a small correction, though: Andras has been substantially buffed in terms of level in the Royal version. He cannot be fused until level 27!
IS it essential to save scum for the three lock picks this early been here for 40 mins trying and cant seem to get it
Currently have not played P5 royal BUT I do remember this day in the original game and I did not get 3 lockpicks and I ended up maxed out on time anyways. There are a few free days that you can use later on (November I think) to make up for it.

Yeah the 4/18 date looks wrong, it even says to hang out with takemi, go to velvet room and then back to takemi
Yeah, this date doesn’t work. You just get sent straight home after the Takemi visit and you’re not able to leave Leblanc at night yet.
so I ran into not being able to up sojiro to rank 3 by the end of the month with no file back. I wasnt carrying a persona with the arcana at the time. will the schedule work or do I need to sacrifice time to rank him up?
Hello! I’ve been loading about a dozen times by now and I’m trying to find out if the extra lockpick on 4/21 is going to be necessary moving forward? I’m having a hard time having to restart the game over and over again because it becomes a locked sequence to the 1st palace boss.
Not sure about importance, though I’d definitely like to know too. I’ve found that instead of waiting for when you can quit out, I just close the game and reload the save that way.

Oops, I got confused. Been replying to multiple comments >.< You can't fuse until 4/20. Later this the month we will have a hangout with Ryuji so the missed +2 points will be recovered

I followed this guide but for some reason I wasnt able to get Sojiro to rank 3 on 4/27 or subsequent days.
Reloaded a save file on 4/22 and played until 4/27. I was able to rank him up carrying a Hierophant persona.
Im already in may and cant go back is leveling up somito required here?

Right now, as of 4/17, I have around 160,000 yen. Should I still not buy any weapon and armor upgrades from the Air soft Shop?
It’s better to save them for now. Since you will be buying items from time to time. We will acquire equipment and weapons through other means in the game.
Does this guide help with getting almost all the trophies?
Not sure if all but I already acquired 37 trophies so far.

First of all amazing job on the guide its really detailed.
A small note though : on 4/21 you suggest the level 10 challenge (optional).However the tactic you include in its guide assumes Ann has the aoe fire skill which requires level 13, but in the previous day during the palace you advice to level up to level 11. A small oversight probably.

Our goal is to max out social stats as early as possible and max out all confidants prior important points of the story
On 4/25 when answering the question for Ann in the morning the reward is a Charm +1 increase rather than Intelligence +1. Not sure if that will cause any problems later on.

I did not have a Death Arcana Persona on 4/18 for Tae and still received 3 points. Are you sure 0 to 1 ranks matter with regard matching arcana?
A few quick things. 1) It is not possible to obtaim a Chariot of Death Persona before the 20th, 2) You don’t receive the book about tea in the western version you receive a diffrent book.

I was able to get a death persona, but not able to get a Chariot persona. The book is called Yongen Wander

I was able to get Agathion (Chariot) by reloading in the safe room during 4/15 to respawn shadow encounters.

Just recalled. I mistook for Agathion for Jack-o’-Lantern. Huge apologies for it >.< You can get Agathion early by fusing Arsene and Pixie. Update the section where you need to fuse for the first time

I’d like to point out a little inconsistency I stumbled upon. On 4/20 it’s not possible to buy “Foreign protein”, at least I did not find it in the Shibuya Sport Shop (in the underground mall, right?). “Moist proteine” was available, though.

This is a good guide precisely because it’s concise for the social life aspects, fitting a day or 2 on the screen. However the palace infiltration sections are excessive and most of that information should be part of your palace walkthroughs specifically. We don’t need to know what elements we should have, what rooms exist or an entire list of personas that you can fight, kill or fuse within your level range in the palace – a link to the palace guide, a reminder to one cycle it, lock pick numbers, confidant levels and boss weaknesses should be the only things on this page. It shouldn’t fit my screen 3 times over. It’s overwhelming.
