How to make shadows/ gaining shadows without weak points as a companion
There are shadows that are resistant, reflective, absorptive to attacks but have no weak points. A shadow with no weak points is quite difficult to take “down” and use the “negotiate” function in battle. This article aims to provide some methods in order to acquire shadows which cannot be taken “down” and shadows which cannot talk.
- Using a Critical Hit
It is a method that can be used for shadows that are not resistant to physical attacks. You can take a shadow “down” by making a normal attack a critical hit. In addition , “Lucky Punch” and “Miracle Punch” (Morgana’s Persona can have these skills) are skills with a high critical rate. In addition, if you use the skill that increases the critical rate (such as Rebellion), you will be able to take shadows down more easily, it is highly advised to prepare a Persona that can have a high critical rate.
- Using the Follow Up ability
Your party members can gain the Follow Up ability once they reach a certain rank in their Social Links. Whenever Joker cannot take down an enemy during his attack, another party member will follow up Joker’s attack with a barrage of strikes until he/she can get a critical hit. However, this ability only activates randomly, and you also won’t be able to down a shadow with a Physical resistance.
- Using the Down Shot ability
The Down Shot is an ability that you can use to unload an entire gun magazine to “down” an enemy. You can get this ability once you start talking to Shinya Oda, the Tower Confidant. However, since you can only use this sparingly, make sure that you activate this ability to a Persona that you really want to have.
- Using the Position Hack ability
Position Hack is an ability that you can obtain by reaching Rank 4 in Futaba Sakura’s (Hermit Confidant) Social Link. This ability lets you start a battle with a Hold-Up, making it possible for you to negotiate with a shadow that has no weaknesses. However, this ability activates randomly, so you have to repeatedly encounter shadows until you can hold-up the Persona that you want to have.
