Persona 5 Royal - Status Conditions

What are Status Conditions?

Status ailments are conditions that worsen the performance of a character or enemy in battle. These consist of 12 types with the exception of “Down.” Each ailment has its own color and effect. Status ailments can be removed using skills or items. After battle, the character’s ailment wears off.

When afflicted, the character becomes prone to certain attributes that inflict “technical” bonus.

	Sleep	The afflicted unit is unable to take action. HP and SP will regenerate each turn. Attacking affected characters cause a technical damage, but will also remove the ailment. 	Despair	The afflicted unit will be unable to take action. SP will decrease each turn and the character will become incapacitated after a set number of turns. Psychic skills cause technical damage. 	Rage	The afflicted unit’s attack power is greatly increased, but defense, evasion, and accuracy are decreased. The character will not listen to orders and will automatically perform melee attacks.
