Parvati

Parvati goes by different names. Some people know her as Urvi. Despite the different names, she is still the same goddess. Parvati is the Hindu goddess of fertility, love, and devotion. She is also a symbol of divine strength and power. Like most goddesses devoted to love and fertility, she is gentle and nurturing. Some say she is an aspect of Shakti and is one of the central goddesses of the Shakta sect. Many know her as the mother goddess in Hinduism.

Together with Lakshmi, the goddess of wealth and prosperity, and Sarasvati, the goddess of knowledge and learning, they form the trinity of Hindu goddesses. They are then referred to as the Tridevi.

In Hinduism, Parvati is the wife of the Hindu god Shiva. She is the daughter of the mountain king Himayan and mother Mena. She has become the mother of many Hindu deities, like Ganesha and Kartikeya. Some say that she is the sister of Vishnu and Ganga.
