Skadi

Skadi is of Norse origin. People know her as the Snowshoe Goddess. Most stories depict her as a Jotun. A well-known giantess, Skadi is known for bringing down storms and blizzards. Her powers involve ice attacks, often times allowing her to survive the cold weathers. People associate her with skiing, hunting, and anything that has to do with winter.

In Norse mythology, Skadi married Njörðr as compensation for the death of her father. However, she eventually left him. She soon after married Odin. If one were to refer to her real name, people know her as Öndurdís, which means “Old Goddess” in the old Norse language.

When in battle, Skadi rides with the other gods with a bow. She is a goddess of the hunt along with her other domains.
