Uriel

Commonly known as one of the major archangels, Uriel works alongside Gabriel, Michael, and Raphael. Among the angels, Uriel is the archangel of wisdom, the sun, and light. In the eyes of religion, Uriel is humanity’s link to the spiritual realms. Because of his power, modern day people still pray and channel their energy into invoking the archangel’s help. People believe that his power helps improve their spirituality.

Among other things, Uriel is sometimes confused with Phanuel. However, they are two different beings. The names themselves are different in origin. Also, the defining feature of the former is that he is a patron of the arts.

Uriel has dominion over different things. His power lies in the realm of ideas. This includes creativity, insights, judgment, magic, and alchemy. He also dabbles with astrology, universal consciousness, divine order, the distribution of power, the cosmic universal flow, and the Earth’s environment.

When translating his name from the original language, Uriel means Light of God. While he is not mentioned in the bible, he eventually became the fourth archangels, three already named.

Despite being considered an archangel, literature still depicts Uriel as a cherubim. People also see him as the angel of repentance. He stands at the gates of heaven with a fiery sword. Other times, people see him as the angel who watches over thunder and terror.
