Atlus Japan posted yesterday its sixth and last episode of Morgana Report. The report highlighted the new “My Palace” feature as well as new DLC available for the game.

My Palace

“My Palace” is a new feature to be introduced in Persona 5 Royal. It is the player’s own small-scale palace built from the protagonist character’s current thoughts and memories. Also, the displays visible might represent the player’s current progress in the game.

Based on the report, the player can roam around the palace and visit the different facilities. The facilities shown so far were the palace maker, awards section, film section, jukebox, and art gallery.

Apart from the protagonist, the player can use another character’s appearance while exploring and interacting with the palace’s facilities. To change appearance, one must step over another character’s panel in the area. It was not confirmed if the player can also change appearance to a confidant character.

“P Coins” are required to purchase new decorations through the palace’s vending machine. According to the report, P coins are obtained by finishing achievements both in the real world and the metaverse. For example, hitting home runs at the batting cage and performing down shots in battles.

Among decorations showcased were a Kamoshida monument and a Kaneshiro Piggytron display. Also, we saw a statue of Joker’s Arsene and Mona’s Zorro Persona. Palace decorations include objects from the real world, metaverse, and the velvet room. Also, decorations can be confidant-related and persona-related.

When it comes to characters appearing in the palace, the phantom thief members we saw interacting were the actual characters while the confidants were only cognitive representations. One of the activities that the player can do together with theirr fellow phantom thieves is to play a Japanese card game called Daifugō.

Since the confidants are only cognitions, they only appear if they have their associated real world item placed within the palace. Despite this, they actually have their own unique dialogue and that varies with the confidant they are partnered with.

Lastly, it was revealed that a palace maker option is also accessible at the title screen, possibly after completing a playthrough. This gives the player a chance to unlock all decorations and achievements.

DLC Enemies for Challenge Battle

New information and changes about challenge battles were already revealed in the last Tokyo Game Show. However, Atlus Japan blindsided everyone by revealing that the protagonist characters of the last two persona games will be optional foes in the battle mode.

Persona 3’s main protagonist, Makoto Yuki, was labeled “Full Moon.” While Persona 4’s main protagonist, Yu Narukami, was named “Foggy Day.” Defeating these foes separately will reward the player powerful accessories and skill cards. Facing these Persona users will definitely be tough challenge.

New DLC Costumes

In terms of DLC costumes, two new costume sets were announced.

These costumes were taken from the Persona 5 Dancing in Startlight rhythm game and the Persona Q2: New Cinema Labyrinth game recently released on Nintendo 3DS this year. We expect the newcomer, Kasumi Yoshizawa, will be getting these outfits as well.

Other Announcement and Updates

At the very end of Morgana Report #6, Futaba Sakura hijacks the stream. She announced that there will be a pre-release livestream on October 30th (7PM, JST).
