Hariti

A demon from Pakistani lore, Hariti terrorized villages. She would particularly focus on the village mothers and children. In order to feed her own children, Hariti would invade the village and kidnap or kill the children. Once they had died, she would head back to her own home to feed her children.

However, this changed when Buddhism showed up in Pakistan. When they arrived, one of the missionaries hid Hariti’s sons under a rice bowl. Distraught, Hariti desperately sought out her child. The missionary explained his reasoning to her. Her remorse for losing one of her hundred children was nothing compared to the remorse mothers felt for their own children. Plagued with guilt, she sought to change her actions. She became the protector of childbirth and children.

When itemized, she becomes a skill card for Spirit Drain.
