A Kodama is a spirit from Japanese folklore that live in trees. These little creatures grant blessings to those who perform favors for them. Sometimes, they can be seen at the shrine.
The Kodama live in trees and are generally always in a good mood. However, there is one way to anger them. If you see a tree with a shimenawa rope, a Kodama lives there. If you cut down the tree, you’ll find yourself the victim of misfortune.
Kodama do not always look like humanoid beings. Some other games depict them in animal forms. However, they still do give a variety of blessings.
