Makami

Makami is a Japanese wolf god with the power to defend villagers from fire. However, this duty comes at a price, as the villager must be willing to have their crops stolen in return. By placing a talisman marked with a Makami inscription on doorways or grain fields, villagers can catch Makami’s attention and gain his protection.
