Incubus

Incubus is a being that which assumes a masculine form and lies next to those who are asleep, especially women, in order to copulate with them. It originates from European lore and is the male inverse of the Succubus.

As was told in the case of the legend of Merlin, if the demon continues this practice, it may become the paternal figure for the child, the latter of which take the role of either a witch or wizard.

Religious practices uphold that continuous contact with these demons may inhibit a person’s health or may ultimately lead to their untimely demise. During the Medieval ages, sexual relations were considered taboo and people attempted to explain these through these creatures.

Incubus is the lowest Persona among the members of the Devil Arcana.
