Thanatos

Thanatos is the ultimate Persona of the protagonist in Persona 3. This Persona is based on a Greek God of the same name who is the personification of gentle death in Greek Mythology.

He is commonly known to bring peaceful death, giving eternal sleep those who will be sent to the afterlife. Thanatos is often described to be a sword-wielding specter who uses his weapon to cause pain for those that he will send to the afterlife, but then this description heavily contradicts the account that he is a peaceful harbinger of death.
