Genbu

Also known as the Black Tortoise, Genbu belongs to the Ssu-Ling group of 4 Chinese constellation symbols. Genbu signifies North, the color black, winter, and water. It also portrayed by a snake, its image often one of a serpent wrapped around a tortoise.

The other members of the Ssu-Ling group are: Seiryu, Suzaku, and Byakko. In Persona 2: Eternal Punishment, these benevolent creatures can perform the unique Fusion spell, Celestial Veil.
